The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) seeks to build an environment for obtaining external funding and support for research and programs that align with the College’s mission to educate good men and good citizens in an atmosphere of sound learning. Sponsored programs are a collaborative effort that goes beyond classrooms and laboratories. The OSP is dedicated to finding and securing resources that help expand research capabilities for the faculty, enhance the student experience, enrich teaching, reinforce service activities, and improve our community.
OSP helps with prospecting grant opportunities, proposal and budget preparation, institutional endorsement (signature authority), application submission, award processing, oversight of fiscal compliance, and ensuring that the College has the necessary infrastructure to manage award funding. OSP hopes to streamline the grant-seeking and administration processes.
We also maintain communication with counterparts at other colleges and universities when working on subawards, and with program officers at various grantmaking organizations.
Our intent is to ease the burden of crafting competitive applications and managing awards.
