Once again, Hampden-Sydney College has been named one of the top liberal arts colleges in the nation by U.S. News & World Report in the publication’s 2021 college rankings.

In addition to jumping nine places to reach a ranking of No. 102 in the U.S. News category of Top National Liberal Arts Colleges, Hampden-Sydney was named one of the top-100 Best Value Schools, an accolade that recognizes the colleges and universities that offer students the best value based on academic quality and cost of attendance. The College ranked No. 88 in this category.

Hampden-Sydney was also included in the Top Performers on Social Mobility category, which recognizes institutions that “are more successful than others at advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students awarded with Pell Grants.”
