It’s theatre season! The Hampden-Sydney College Fine Arts department is pleased to present The Aliens, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Annie Baker. The show opens tonight, February 24, 2022, at 8 p.m. on the main stage of Johns Auditorium.
This performance of The Aliens is directed by Visiting Assistant Professor of Fine Arts Andrew Bryce, with a student-filled cast and crew. According to a 2014 press release, The Aliens is “a funny and heartening look at friendship, ritual, and small-town New England.” A review in the New York Times called it “a gentle and extraordinarily beautiful new play by Annie Baker.”
Additional performances will run on February 25 and 26, and on March 2 and 3. All performances are free to attend and begin at 8 p.m. in Johns Auditorium.
