Research Interests and potential topics for students

I am open to just about any topic in political economy, economic development, sports economics, and industry regulation. More specific to my current research agenda would be the impact of state regulation on mid-level care providers (aka NPs and PAs), the impact of political and economic institutions on entrepreneurship in developing countries, the impact of monopoly restrictions in alcohol distribution on drunk driving rates, and using financial markets as indicators for sustainable treaties.
