Dr. Reed Skaggs
Associate Director for Plans and Programs, U.S. Army Research Laboratory
Dr. Skaggs is responsible for strategic and operational planning, revenue allocation, and program formulation and direction. He has served in the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army Research and Technology (ASA(ALT)). Prior to working at ASA(ALT), he served as a research chemist for the ARL's Weapons and Materials Research Directorate. He received his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from The George Washington University.

Dr. D. Keith Williams
Senior Analyzer Engineer, ExxonMobil
After graduating with a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from North Carolina State University, Dr. Williams was hired by ExxonMobil, where he is currently a Senior Analyzer Engineer. His job involves designing sample systems and choosing the proper online analysis systems (IR, GC, etc.) for a range of applications from product certification and process control to safety and environmental monitoring.

Dr. Stephen Diegelmann
Postdoctoral Fellow, Case Western Reserve University
After graduating from Johns Hopkins University in July 2011 with a PhD in chemistry, Dr. Diegelmann took a postdoctoral research position at Case Western Reserve University where he works in Dr. Stuart Rowan's lab in the department of Macromolecular Science and Engineering on new polymer-nanomaterial composites with switchable mechanical properties. His plan is to obtain an academic position at a primarily undergraduate institutions similar to HSC.

Dr. Anderson Marsh
Associate Professor of Chemistry, Lebanon Valley College
Dr. Marsh Received his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan. He teaches Physical and General Chemistry lecture and lab courses and supervises students during the summer and academic years on independent research projects at Lebanon Valley College. He is active in the American Chemical Society at the local level as Webmaster for the Southeastern PA section and at the national level on two exam committees.

"My experience at HSC with both the Rhetoric and Chemistry Advanced Lab courses helped me become a better (and faster) writer, which has enabled me to publish peer-reviewed manuscripts more easily, as well as obtain grant money for my research projects. The Chemistry lab courses showed me how to design and carry out experiments, two skills that I rely on when teaching my own lab courses and planning student research projects. The Friday afternoon seminars played an important role in my learning how to give an oral presentation, which I do at ACS meetings when I attend and which I teach my students completing senior independent research projects."
