“The Faculty & Staff Regional Service Award recognizes faculty or staff from Sullivan Foundation partner schools each year. Nominees…are celebrated for their exceptional contributions to either their campus or broader community…” Dr. Hardy’s work with Hampden-Sydney’s experiential learning program, Compass, earned her this honor, with the awards program noting that the Compass program “deepens student understanding and fosters a more nuanced grasp of the world around them.” As assistant dean of the faculty, Dr. Hardy captained the Compass Program from its inception in 2019 to 2023.
